Someone just tried to kill Papa in his locked bedroom and I just discovered I actually really hate blood. He's been stabbed in the side and around the clavicle, beaten up in the face, and he's lost a lot of blood, thank you, Osamu-san. It's a good thing he's a universal recipient... Osamu-san's called the hospital but until then, I want doctors, I want healers right now. Papa hates reformatting and I am not going to lose another parent.

'specially now that I've just found one, because Daddy's signal just came up on the map again. But given what just happened to Papa I'd bet my digivice it's a trap, and Otamamon's never evolved to perfect, so I am not going out there alone. At the same time, I want some people to stay behind so there's someone to bail us out even if everything goes even more wrong than it already has.

...but my laptop crashed ;_; XP sucks. Or maybe I shouldn't have used the sonic screwdriver to make the router compatible with the D-stuff. I don't even care about all the hacking and stuff; all my personal files were on there! The Tamer database I was working on, the family tree I started and gave up on when I was trying to explain genealogy to Motimon, my music (since it didn't load from my D-Pod into my D-Reader), the photos... I can't replace the photos until I get home, it's not like we print many photos these days! I tried sticking my harddrive into Daddy's laptop again but it won't boot up at all. ;_;

Okay, so: I've been trying to hack the jam on Papa's signal, but he's done a really good job, and these digivices are so low-tech that they can't get through the calculations fast enough to keep up with him moving. Every time I come close to coming close, the signal gives out and I have to start over, and that's when I've networked my D-Comm to my D-Reader. I bet my D-Pod could do it, if it didn't crash halfway through... Stupid Apple digivices; ENIAC should never have turned over digivice production...

I had an idea, though! I was thinking about what Papa was telling me about how the Wild Bunch got Papa and Jen-oji and Ruki-oba and Takato-oji and everyone else home from that digital world in the Ark. They basically used the Internet to network the computers of anyone willing together into one huge supercomputer that was able to calculate the trajectory of the Ark fast enough to actually get it there in the same century. (Thanks for filling in the details, Jen-oji. :D)

We don't have the Internet here and we can't just Ctrl + F Papa's IP any more funny how that happened here actually, but I've managed to force make the wireless router on my laptop backwards compatible with Daddy's laptop and the D-stuff. I also partitioned my harddrive and downgraded to installed Windows XP onto it off Daddy's laptop, which made it properly compatible with his and Uncle Ash's, so I got a wireless network set up with our laptops and our digivices and everything. It's a miracle XP still recognizes the built-in router, actually... Anyway, if we get lots of digivices and D-Readers on my network, that adds up to a supercomputer with the juice for my D-Comm to get through Papa's jam!

If you didn't understand a word of that, that's okay! But if you wanna help me find my papa, lemme know here and I'll send you a couple of programs for your D-Comm and D-Reader. The first one will open itself, just click "Yes" for everything. It's just a wizard to get you onto the network. The second one will start running in the background once you're online, and it's basically helping with the calculations to hack the location of Papa's last signal.

Don't worry, neither program will crash your D-stuff; I've been testing them on Molly-nee's. But the hacking program's coded to go into overdrive the second we get a fresh signal from Papa (ie. he accesses the journals), so it might start draining your power a bit then. Oh, and my router only reaches to the boundaries of the Tetha (thanks for unlocking it, Daddy), so if you're out of range? You're not helping. It seems to work fine upwards of Tetha and a few meters off the edge but the signal can't get through the ground, so even if you're right underneath in D'Ango? No dice.

If you've got anything wifi-compatible you're not using, like a laptop or an Internet-capable cellphone or something, that'll work too, you'll just have to let me have a look at it so I can adjust the coding to compensate.

I hope this pays off...
